Broward County Florida – The southeast regional offices of East Coast Facilities Inc., today announced the appointment of Brian Steele to serve as Director of Operations for the Southeast Region.
Steele, a veteran of the commercial landscape services industry was hired to oversee both the current growth of the region and planned market expansion. Regional operations and sales leaders will report to Steele as he sets out to realize the corporation’s immediate plans for Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Brian Steele has over 36-years of experience in the commercial landscape services sector. He is an operational specialist and holds a Bachelor of Science in horticulture from the University of Maryland. Brian has held senior management and executive-level positions for some of the nation’s largest players in our space. Our South Florida team members are excited for the career opportunities that will come from the scheduled growth which is expected to be realized from both organic and acquired market share expansion. Recently CEO Joshua Gámez announced that significant capital investment in the millions will be allocated to “move the needle in South Florida”. Steele is a part of that investment.
East Coast Facilities first entered South Florida in the spring of 2017 and has since built out several facilities and added millions in revenue from referral growth alone. The fully licensed, bonded, and tooled division has some of the best technicians in the State of Florida and boasts a year over year front-line retention rate of over 87%, and a three-year customer retention rate of 100%. Local service line offerings include landscape maintenance, landscape enhancements, irrigation management, arbor care, parking lot maintenance, pressure washing, and general repairs and maintenance.

Brian and his wife Michele have four children, Shae, Kylie, Trae, Jade. Steele’s family enjoys time together especially the annual trip to Sanibel Island. Steele began his first week with a full dose of training, after having observed a typical morning dispatch, known as the “ECF Egress Standard” Steele commented, “I have never seen anything like that in my 36-years in this industry, that was some dynamic energy on display by a very cohesive team!”
Steele will report directly to CEO Joshua Gámez for the immediate future until a Chief Operating Officer is named. Gámez commented, “I have known Brian for almost two decades. We crossed paths together when I was much younger. He is not only someone I always respected, but he is respected by the industry. Not many people can say, “I worked for Bert Sperber”, Brian can. He can tell you more about this industry than you could ever know. Here we are almost 20 years later and Brian Steele is standing at my side. I consider it a privilege.”
